More than 61% of the participants in the Greece nationwide referendum voted against the offers of the loaners. Only 38% were for. In the ballots it was offered to accept or decline the toughened economics measures policy offered by the three European loaners.
The participation percentage was 62.5, that is 6 million 400.000 people voted. This outcome of referendum makes it more possible the declaration of default in the country and the abandonment of Euro zone unifying 19 countries. The Prime Minister of Greece Alexis Tsipras welcomed the choice of Greek people. He mentioned that Athens is ready to return to negotiations and discuss new conditions.
The international media assessed the results of the referendum as the victory of Tsipras’s government and a vote of confidence. Some hours after the declaration of results Greek people withdrew more than 600 million euros from their bank accounts.
