President Serzh Sargsyan addressed a message on the occasion of the holiday. It is mainly said in the message "The constitution is the state building pillar of every country, striking symbol of statehood, the value guideline of the development of the society. In our newest history the adoption of the constitution became for us, Armenians, an incorporation of a long dream to have an independent country.
It is a proof of being an equal member of the international family of republics, the main guarantee of creating a sovereign, democratic and legal state and establishing the people's government.
The Constitution adopted in 1995 had a profound role in establishing democracy in Armenia, strengthening the foundation of a legal state, constitutional guarantees of human rights booking, the gradual establishment of government institutions.
