The skyscraper is threatened by 2 powerful elements of nature – water and 137 km/h wind.
Abu Dhabi’s circular skyscraper is the first and only structure in the world, the project of which has won “The Best Futuristic Design” award. The skyscraper built on the shore of the sea has been designed in the appearance of a snail to harmonize it with nature and to integrate with the surrounding environment.
The circular skyscraper is higher that the Statue of Liberty. The surface of each of the circles is equal to the size of 4 football fields.
The structure is comprised of 2 convex circular parts. To make the curved surface touch the foundation firmly, the rule of the “golden cut” has been applied.
The construction of the unprecedented skyscraper was intended to bring to an end within 3 months, that’s why the construction and planning works were running in parallel.
The skyscraper is threatened by 2 powerful elements of nature – water and 137 km/h wind. The circular skyscraper is a simple geometric image, which has become Abu Dhabi’s visiting card proving that genius is in simplicity. Today it can compete with the well-known monuments of both the Emirate of Dubai and of the whole world.
