The coordinating team of the festival has presented today the rules of the contest and the non-competition programs.
1 600 applications from about 105 countries, including South America, have been presented in 4 nominations – feature, documentary, Armenian panorama and “Koriz” short films. The coordinating team of the festival has presented today the rules of the contest and the non-competition programs.
This year the festival will launch with “Crazy Story” film by Rober Gedikyan involved in the series of special showings of Cannes, and the closing will be heralded by Hamo Beknazaryan’s “Namus”- the first film in Armenian cinematography. During the film festival a tribute of honor will be paid to directors Henrik Malyan, Levon Atoyan and Henrik Margaryan.
A number of Armenian films, as well as films distinguished in world cinematography will be shown. The Yerevan premiere of the film “Taxi” will be also held. The film has won the prize “Golden Bear”.
And on the occasion of the Armenian Genocide Centennial, “Golden Apricot” will refer to the films dedicated to the Genocide and screened by Armenian and foreign film directors.
