During these days when all Armenians pay tribute to American-Armenian philanthropist Kirk Kerkorian, sculptor Levon Tokmajyan recalls his meeting with the great Armenian. Many years ago he was going to erect Kerkorian’s bust with the proposal of Etchmiadzin former mayor Yervand Aghvanyan.
The People’s Artist immediately started searching for the philanthropist’s photos. Tokmajyan wanted to reveal his true character. The sculptor visited the library of the American University, studied all the information about him in different archives. That year Kerkorian did not visit Armenia. Meanwhile Tokmajyan was looking forward to giving the bust to Kirk Kerkorian.
And one day Levon Tokmajyan heard on television that Kirk has arrived in Yerevan by his own plane.
