A new uproar has risen connected with the U.S. National Security Agency. WikiLeaks has published a new collection of top secret documents. According to the documents, the American Agency has spied a number of high-ranking French officials, including 3 Presidents – Jacques Chirac, Nicolas Sarkozy and François Hollande.
The posted information proves that the United States has wiretapped the conversations of these Presidents. Washington has commented on WikiLeaks’ disclosure, stating that the talks of the current President Hollande are not wiretapped. Nevertheless, after the noisy revelations of WikiLeaks François Hollande summoned on June 24 an extraordinary session of the country’s Security Council.
The President of France considered the spy implemented by the American National Agency unacceptable. “France will not tolerate operations threatening its security, and will do its best to defend its profits,” Hollande stressed.
