Meryl Streep has spent her childhood by taking care of her 2 brothers. Her father was a manager, and the mother – an artist. Prior to being an actress, Meryl was a waitress and considered it to be the job she was capable of doing. She served 8 tables at the same time and was proud of that.
The creative path began in the circle of her friends. In 1971 the amateur plays went to stage and became stages plays. Meryl acted in the film “Julia”, and after a year was nominated at the Oscars for the film “A Deer Hunter”.
Streep has received 17 nominations at the Oscars and 27 at the Golden Globe. She is a winner of 3 Oscars. The third one she received for her role of Margaret Thatcher in the film “The Iron Lady”. She has married once, has 4 children.
