Legend of Armenian Civil Aviation Mnatsakan Parakshiev has lived in his house at Komitas Street for decades. The initiative of placing his bust belongs to the Parakshiev family. Officials from Armenia and NKR, relatives and friends had come to welcome the idea.
Mnatsakan Parakshiev has controlled numerous planes. 1950-1961 he headed the Civil Aviation of Armenia, played an outstanding role in development of the aviation in our country. Many local airports in different sides of the country as well as Zvartnots International Airport were constructed during his tenure.
After retiring, Parakshiev was appointed as head of the Air Navigation Central Agency of the Civil Aviation, and his son, Sahak, occupied his place in the blue heights.
