In 1978 a very strange photo annoying many people appeared on the cover of “American Prospect” magazine. A fireman buys a pumpkin in a store, and in the background a huge building is burning. It could be suggested that the fireman has reached there to rescue the building. The photo presents itself an excellent composition: the burning building looks nice with the yellow autumn leaves, pumpkins and fireman in yellow uniform.
But actually all this has been staged. About this photo people must first know that the fire is not real, the firemen participated in trainings and had to show their skills, and the fireman in the photo was just having a break. Nevertheless, viewers of this photo were annoyed at their first impression and considered that the firemen were not performing their duty conscientiously.
