American stoves proved that fire was lost in vain.
Political and public figure, scientist and writer Benjamin Franklin was a man, who liked to economize. And American stoves proved that fire was lost in vain.
On June 11, 1742, the politician made the pipes of the stove from cast iron and then created a chasm. This made the fire to rise through the pipe with difficulty and helped the warmth to stay long.
Benjamin’s discovery interested another Benjamin, who was Franklin’s student and improved his teacher’s invention. During an international expo held in London it was awarded with 15 medals, and England’s Queen Victoria bought it for her country house.
The discovery was so useful that soon it appeared in apartments of people, workshops, kitchens getting more and more improved over the time.
