In his speech he said, “Yoga is unity and love. People engaged in yoga become more conscious consumers; they improve themselves and take care for nature. This is the power of yoga, which can be useful for the whole world.”
On December 11, 2014, UN decided to declare June 21 as International Yoga Day. Representatives of 177 countries voted for this decision. This was the first record in the history of the United Nations.
