The moment is the evidence of the unity of Armenian people. The unity dance turned into a holiday of consolidation.
On November 6, 2004, a decision was adopted at the conference of Nig-Aparan Patriotic Unionthat the Armenians should organize a unity dance along Aragats. An organization committee coordinating the process of the unity dance was formed on February 2, 2005.
As it was planned, on May 28, on the Independence Day of the First Republic, the Armenians took a unity dance around Aragats dedicated to the heroic battles of Sardarapat, Bash-Aparan and Karakilisa.
This photo was taken on that very day. The moment is the evidence of the unity of Armenian people. The unity dance turned into a holiday of consolidation. Prior to the dance, with the efforts of the organizers an unprecedented tree planting took place, 110,250 trees were planted at the foot of Mount Aragats, as well as a monument of letter-stones dedicated to the 1600th anniversary of creation of the Armenian alphabet was set up.
