The highest power of the country and the spiritual class were in the Sardarapat memorial on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia and Sardarapat heroic battles. They placed wreaths on the memorial to the heroes of the Sardarapat battle and paid tribute to the memory of martyrs of May heroic battles. There was a parade at the Sardarapat memorial.
President Sargsyan during his visit said “May 28 if 1918 gave us a historical opportunity to restore the independence of Armenia. The revolutionary quakes of Russia, events of World War I and other unearthly circumstances created a situation where we were left alone against many challenges.”
