Supranav Dash has tried to capture some moments of professions that are on the verge of disappearance in Africa.
It is a long time we cannot see a teenager selling water in streets, a coachman with shiny boots, a woman working as a typewriter, or a booking clerk speaking loudly in trams. They have disappeared taking with them away these professions and the characteristics of an entire period.
While writing his diploma work, photojournalist Supranav Dash has tried to capture some moments of professions that are on the verge of disappearance in Africa.
Supranav Dash was born in Kolkata, India. He is an accountant, and photojournalism is his hobby. For some period of time he photographed models, but it was pleasant and boring at the same time. He was interested in permanent values. In 2009 Dash left for India for his diploma work and searched for people with disappearing professions to take their photos.
