The photo portrays Ruby Bridges, the first Afro-American girl, who has attended a secondary school and has become a heroine of numerous discussions and a historical photo. Several decades ago it demanded courage from a black girl to learn at a school intended for white people.
The photographer has shown only the one side of this situation. On the opposite side, there is a crowd demanding to leave out the girl from school. This was a true trial for the little girl, but she overcame it with honor.
