The first semi-final of the Eurovision International Song Contest 2015 will be held today, during which Armenian representative “Genealogy” group will perform under number 2.

On the decision of the creative team of the Public Television Company of Armenia, this year Armenia will come up in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in a unique format and with a newly formed group. The group Genealogy is comprised of 6 artists of Armenian origin, who represent the 5 continents of the world and Armenia (Essaï Altounian-Europe, Tamar Kaprelian-United States, Vahe Tilbian-Africa, Mary-Jean O'Doherty Vasmatzian-Australia, Stephanie Topalian-Asia and Inga Arshakyan-Armenia).
At the contest Armenia will be represented with the song “Face the Shadow”. The author of the song is Armen Martirosyan, the lyricist is Inna Mkrtchyan.
The song “Face the Shadow” is about universal values – love, solidarity, loyalty and of course, about genealogy of generations.
In the first semi-final the states will perform in the following order: Moldova, Armenia, Belgium, Netherlands, Finland, Greece, Estonia, Macedonia, Serbia, Hungary, Belarus, Russia, Denmark, Albania, Romania, Georgia.
