One of the symbols of Iranian literature, philosophy and science was born on May 18, 1048. Even if Omar Khayyam had not dealt with literature, he would stay in history as a scientist, a mathematician or a philosopher, an astronomer or a doctor. But in world history he is remembered as a poet.
