The Genealogy sings a song loved by all Armenians, and the song is about the unity, unification and strength of our people.
The participants of the group Genealogy representing Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 have prepared a big present for the Armenians all over the world and their fans. On the initiative of the Public Television Company of Armenia the members of the Group Genealogy have recorded and are presenting in a new way the beloved and famous song “We and Our Mountains” performed by Inga and Anush Arshakyans. The Genealogy sings a song loved by all Armenians, and the song is about the unity, unification and strength of our people, as well as about preservation of Armenian identity. The song conveys joyous and victories feelings to the spectator, accentuates the peculiarity of the Armenian unified spirit.
For the group members Essaï Altounian, Tamar Kaprelian, Vahe Tilbian, Mary-Jean O'Doherti Vasmatzyan and Stephanie Topalian the song has a unique significance and symbol: like the group Genealogy symbolizes the Armenians spread worldwide, so the above-mentioned song has a message of unification.
The author of the music of the song “We and Our Mountains” is Mane Hakobyan, and the lyricist is Avet Barseghyan. To remind, the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 will be held on May 19. Armenia will perform under number 2.
