In the result of over a year-long survey of the National Trust Council The Artsakh Republic Hospital received the title of the best medical facility of the year. The Artsakh writer-publicist Zori Balayan gave the award to the director of the best medical center of the region Karen Bazyan.
The 75 years old withered building became a new and reequipped center in 2013 due to the investment of the philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan.
