Resident of Soviet Yerevan 17-year-old Zhenya Muradyan could not even imagine that one day she would become a poser for one of the symbols of the capital.
Sculptor Ara Harutyunyan was assigned to erect a new statue at the height of the city. Previously Jozeph Stalin was standing there on the pedestal. The master saw blue-eyed Zhenya in a vegetable shop and proposed her to pose for the new statue – Mother Armenia.
