The St. Astvatsatsin church which was inactive since soviet years was reopened in the same village of Shirak Region.
Two memorials were opened at the same time in the Getap village which was distinguished with its participation in World War II.
The first one is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of victory in Great Patriotic War, the second is dedicated to the memory of soldiers who were immortalized in the Artsakh Heroic Battles.

The same day on the initiative of the inhabitants of Getap another memorial was opened commemorating the canonized victims of the Genocide. The memorial will become a place of pilgrimage not only for the inhabitants of Getap but also for the other villages of the region and the visitors.
