The newly opened Saint Anna Church is located next to the Holy Mother of God Katoghike church. The consecration ceremony of the new church was conducted by Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II. The President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and First Lady Rita Sargsyan werepresent at the ceremony.
St Anna Church and Yerevan Pontifical Residence have been built under the sponsorship of Hirair and Anna Hovnanians. It is also worth mentioning that the groundbreaking ceremony of the church was held on the same day four years ago.
