On May 5 the House of Representatives of Luxembourg will discuss the resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide. The resolution, presented by the Christian Social People’s Party, calls the tragedy which happened in Ottoman Turkey at the beginning of the 20th century a “genocide”. The party wants Luxembourg to follow the examples of French and European Parliaments in recognizing the Armenian Genocide.
Manises became the eighths Spanish city to recognize the Genocde. Five of these cities are located in the Valencian Community, where the Armenian union “Ararat” actively operates. Now the lobbyists’ efforts are towards the cities Bilbao and Merida.
