The construction of the Bagratashen checkpoint which is considered the northern gate of Armenia is in its final stage. According to the program Armenia will have brand new checkpoints in 2016.
The start of the program of modernization of Armenia's northern customs gates was given in the Bagratashen customs point which acts under the Gugark Regional Customs. The land works in the area of the new checkpoint started in August 2013, and the official ceremony of the foundation with the participation of the President of the Republic took place on September 27.
