During the years of the World War II photographers Lee Miller and David Scherman worked together. Miller photographed for Vogue and Scherman for LIFE.
Later Scherman told that he and Lee had found an elderly man, who hardly spoke English, gave him a pack of cigarettes and asked to show Munich. The old man took them to Hitler’s home.
In that very house, Hitler’s bathroom, Scherman captured this shot. The photo portrays his partner, Lee Miller, taking a bath in Hitler’s personal bathroom.
