The 159th anniversary of Henry Morgenthau who was the American ambassador in Turkey from 1913 to 1916 was celebrated in the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.
A year after 1915 he ceased his diplomatic activity being unable to do more for the persecuted Armenian people. Many episodes of Ambassador Morgenthau's humanitarian activity were presented during the exhibition event on the occasion his 159th anniversary.
At the end of the meeting the director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Hayk Demoyan gave "Henry Morgenthau" medals to the ambassador of The USA and the relatives of Morgenthau. His grandchildren left their signatures on the postcards dedicated to the memory of the ambassador.
