President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan together with his wife Rita Sargsyan visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex early in the morning to pay tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
Sixty high-ranking official delegations of different countries, ambassadors accredited in our country as well as the Presidents of France, Russia, Serbia and Cyprus visited Tsisternakabared. The commemoration ceremony of the genocide martyrs was held in Tsitsernakaberd with participation of foreign delegations.
According to a special ritual, each official, accompanied by a child, added a yellow flower to the wreath in memory of the genocide martyrs and then took their seats in the balcony for high-ranking guests.
The last flower was added to the wreath by President Serzh Sargsyan and his spouse Rita Sargsyan. After this commemoration ceremony President Sargsyan addressed his message to the participants. The Presidents of Russia, France, Serbia, Cyprus as well as Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II delivered long speeches.
