Armin Wegner was a German Sanitary Officer in Ottoman Turkey during the years of the World War I. Ignoring many warnings he photographed the massacres of Armenians. He wrote a letter to the president of The USA Woodrow Wilson describing what he saw and lived through, telling that the Ottoman Empire intentionally eliminates 2mln Armenians. Later he published his memories and photos in several books.
