Armenian and Yezidi people honored the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.
Armenian and Yezidi people honored the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide in the memorial complex of Ziarat in Aknalich Yezidi sanctuary. Yezidis came to the memorial complex with posters that had "We remember and condemn the Armenian Genocide" writings on them. The commemoration ceremony passed according to the religious rituals of both peoples.
The Minister of Defense, the head of LDU and other deputies were present at the ceremony. The leaders of the Yezidis of the world with His Holiness Mire Mira Takhsin Bek in the lead came from sacred Lalesh with the urge to recognize and condemn the crime.
His holiness addressed to the Armenian people and thanked them for always being beside the Yezidis. The LDU for his exceptional contribution awarded Jahangir agha with a medal posthumous which was given to the grandson of the warlord. The Minister of Defense of Armenia and generals Seyran Saroyan and Manvel Grigoryan also received Jahangir agha medals.
