After the tragic fall of Kars many words of condemnation towards the crime initiated against the Armenians were voiced in different countries.
The height of the fortress wall of Kars reached 12 meters and its thickness reached 2 meters. The total length of the wall surpassed 1000 meters the toughness of which was ensured by 220 fortified towers. The citadel on the high rocks was impregnable.
