The participants of the march also prepared letters which will be sent through embassies to those countries which haven't recognized the Armenian Genocide yet.
The Catholicos Vazgen 1st succeeded in placing a group of cross stones dedicated to the commemoration of the victims of the Genocide in the yard of Etchmiadzin, overcoming many obstacles during the years of denial of God when the Bolsheviks permanently shut down the subject of Genocide. It is the first memorial of the Genocide in Armenia before the Tsitsernakabert. It was built by Rafael Israelian in 1965.
The road to the cross stones is given to the honor groups of sappers. The call of recognition and condemnation of the Genocide became stronger when the soldiers were joined by the Armenian groups of pilgrims from the Ministries of Defense and Education and Sciences, police and employees of Yerevan town hall, Cycling student and school federations members and ordinary citizens.
The participants of the march also prepared letters which will be sent through embassies to those countries which haven't recognized the Armenian Genocide yet.
