Some important events took place in Naples during the official visit of president Sargsyan. The skull of St. Gregory the Illuminator kept in the reliquary of the church of San Gregorio Armeno, Naples since 1600 was ceremonially returned to the church on April 11 and presented to the public.
The memorial dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, a duplicate of one of the cross stones of Jugha, was opened and consecrated in the yard of the same church. The President of the republic was presented with the medal of Naples. It was given to Serzh Sargsyan by the mayor Luigi de Magistris.
