The Prevention Resolution of RA about Genocide was unanimously adopted during the 28th regular session of the Human Rights Council of UN in Geneva. 64 republics joined Armenia and became co-authors of the resolution. The resolution will be available for co-authoring for two weeks.
The document reinstates that the impunity of Genocides and crimes against humanity encourages the repetition of such crimes and is an obstacle for cooperation of nations in achieving world peace and safety.
The denial of Genocide and attempts to justify themselves endanger the fight against impunity and impede the efforts to prevent genocides.
The resolution calls on UN member countries to also promote awareness and prevention of genocides through educational programs.
