According to the data of the TIME magazine, the author of this photo is Jesuit priest Francis Browne, who too had appeared in the ocean and had decided to start his voyage by a small ship.
Soon the priest received an invitation from a rich family travelling by “Titanic” and moved there. But some minutes later received a command from his clerical superior to return to the small ship and to continue the voyage by it. Here the priest snapped the last photo of “Titanic”.
