World-famous giant of oil industry Galust Gulbenkian or “Mr. 5 percent”, as he is known to the world, is considered one of the most renowned businessmen of the 20th century. He made his first investment at the age of 7. Afterward he obtained John Morgan’s famous collection of old coins. Maybe this very deal provoked his interest in works of art.
There are many legends about Gulbenkian’s skills in business. The businessman, who deserved the title “General of Oil”, has received an excellent education in France, King’s College in England and has graduated from the University of Oxford. Gulbenkian mastered 8 languages.
