In 1951American soldier Floyd Hilstown asked for a holiday to find a place for living for his dear lion – Fagan. Before enlisting in the army, Hilstown had a personal circus. The young man had to sell his 6 lions, but he could no way get separated from Fagan.
In 1951 the LIFE magazine published a big article and a series of photos dedicated to the adventures of Hilstown and his favorite lion. A Hollywood screenwriter read this article and realized that a stunning film scenario was in his hands. This way the lion appeared in the filming arena of the film “Fearless Fagan”.
