The international media forum named "At the foot of Ararat " was launched in Yerevan. It is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.The President Serj Sargsyan also participated in the opening ceremony of the large-scale event by having a speech before hundreds of journalists.
The representatives of media of 34 countries participate in the 3-day forum. The President's Chief of Staff, the event coordinator of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide Vigen Sargsyan in his opening speech mentioned "The question of Genocide is not only in our blood, in our genetic memory it is also in our political schedule".
The chief of Public Relations and Information Center of the President's staff Ara Saghatelyan said that the role of the media is great in preventing Genocides and fight against discrimination and every necessary condition is created for the journalists covering the media forum to work efficiently.
