Italy, 1930s. A teenager, Tonino by name, was looking at one of the most famous dictators of that period, Benito Mussolini, with admiration so that he could properly mock him years later.
Paper was Tonino’s inseparable friend; he expressed his expressions on paper… and also on stone and canvas. He was interested in football, saxophone and, of course, cinema. It was thanks to his comprehensive talent that Tonino Guerra was often compared with Leonardo Da Vinci: the latter was among the first knights of Renaissance, and Tonino became the last.
