The moment has been captured in March 1967 during one of London concerts. The photo portrays Jimi Hendrix with sacrifice of the guitar heralding the end of his performance. The experiment was unsuccessful: as a result the musician burned his two hands. In that period his band, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, was very famous in Europe, but in the United States the musicians were not so popular. So they tried to find ways to make the concert more spectacular.
The result surpassed their expectations. The band managed to impress the audience at the pop music festival held in California and to remain in their memory forever. Hendrix stood out both for good performance and for his crazy act at the end: he burned the guitar, broke it and threw the remains to the spectator.
