In soviet years, when every initiative was to be consistent with the country’s ideology and approved by the party’s head, several former pioneers founded a music band. One of the musicians was currently renowned composer and arranger Ara Gevorgyan. The song list and style immediately attracted the audience; it was advanced and a little capitalistic.
“Rally” music band was a big surprise for music lovers, the classic elements of rock and Armenian motifs immediately attracted young people.
The band’s ideology did not correspond to the standards admissible in the Soviet Union. Nevertheless, after the first staging “Rally” appeared on that time’s only television channel. The band was already quite famous and received a right to participate in an all-union festival.
