Not pain and grief but creation, construction and assertion. With this message and prayer the "We remember and demand" event was launched in the spiritual capital of Armenia Etchmiadzin. The members of the social non-governmental organization "Mer Doon" sent information postcards to the youngsters of the world within the event, where with a few words they present the crime the Ottoman committed 100 years ago.
The postcards will be attached to forget-me-nots and will be spread all over the world. Various intellectuals, representatives of art and literature and the city government expressed their wish to be present at the start of the initiative and the commemoration ceremony of the 1.5mln victims.
The lawyers present at the meeting expressed an opinion, according to which the Ottoman Empire who committed the crime was the first to accept the fact in 1919 and the Turk republic as a successor to the empire didn't overturn the decision of the court.
