Vahan Teryan is the leader of the new generation of Eastern Armenian poetry of the 20th century. Teryan started the literary path as a symbolist, romantic writer. After some period of time the poet created his own style of psychological realism.
Vahan Teryan’s contribution to the political life of the given period is outstanding. The revolution realized in Russia inspired the poet. Teryan saw the salvation of Armenian people in Bolshevik revolution.
