The "Hammer" Museum of Los Angeles Started Screening Film Series in Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide
The USA has launched events in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The "Hammer" museum of Los Angeles intends to screen "I Am Armenian: A Year of Armenian Culture and History on Film" series, as well as to hold discussions on the theme "Armenian Genocide. One Year of Rejection." The aim of the initiative is to inform people about the Armenian culture, nation, and Genocide through films. The "Hammer" museum will screen Armenian films during the whole 2015, one film a month. The first one was the film shot by Atom Egoyan in 1993 - "Calendar".
