Armenian Apostolic Church celebrated the Holiday of apostles Thaddeus and Bartholomew who had spread Christianity in our country. During the St. Liturgy performed on this occasion at the Monastery Cathedral the Holy Lance with which the Roman fighter had pierced the side of Jesus as He hung on the cross was brought into the temple.
The Lance, the right hand of St. Gregory the Illuminator, and the relic from the Savior’s cross are the three important sacred objects that are taken out one time in 7 years in order to sanctify the Holy Chrism.
The Holy Lance was taken out for the people’s worship for the first time. The religious from different dioceses visited the Holy See to touch the relic and to bow before it.
