It costs 7 billion drams in Armenia to pass from the analog broadcasting to the digital one. A digital signal test was implemented at the Ministry of Transport and Communication with participation of the minister and directors of television companies.
The new format provides a high quality of broadcasting, affords an opportunity of interactive watching. In some European countries the digitalization started still 15 years ago. Gagik Beglaryan stressed that in this issue Armenia is ahead of the majority of the countries in the region.
Analog broadcasting will remain for some period after the digitalization as well. To support the needy people, a social project will be implemented. The difference in the amount will be paid by the Ministry of Transport and Communication.
