The funeral service of the pilots of the Armenian helicopter downed by the opponent was held through the military procedure at Yerablur Military Pantheon.
High ranking officials of the Armed Forces, intellectuals and hundreds of citizens attended the funeral under the head of the Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan.
The Defense Minister stated that our heroic martyrs have deprived us of the right to make mistakes.
All the three pilots had graduated from the Military Aviation Institute of the Defense Army.
Helicopter's commander, Major Sergey Sahakyan was 38 years old, he was married and had 3 sons. The other two pilots were unmarried. Senior Lieutenant Sargis Nazaryan was 25 years old and Azat Sahakyan – 22.
