Political scientist Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan has referred to the operation of evacuating the Armenian pilots killed on November 12.
According to the political scientist, the operation has been carried out by our special detachments consisting of 4 members. Three types of air devices have been applied, one of which has been used for the first time in our practice. Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan said that during the operation 5-7 victims from the side of the rival have been registered.
Political scientist stressed that large-scale preliminary work has been implemented: a thorough survey of the area has been conducted, the rival’s positions, traps, the number of manpower, armament level have been discovered. The areas enabling to approach the helicopter’s downing site have been cleared of mines in advance.
