The festivities dedicated to the 85th anniversary of composer Avet Terterian have reached St. Petersburg. The composer’s most famous work, the Third Symphony, was performed in the Grand Hall of Academic Philharmonic named after Shostakovich.
At the concert titled “Terterian’s Time” the listeners also enjoyed the works of Alfred Schnittke and contemporary composer Mikhail Krutik. The event was organized by International Cultural Foundation after Avet Terterian, Cultural Centre of Armenian Apostolic Church of St. Petersburg, and “Culture and Future” Charity Foundation. Support was also provided by Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia.
