200 000 young summer and 167 000 gegharkuni trout were released into Lake Sevan in the administrative territory of Artsvanist village, Gegharkunik province, at the price of the 60 million drams allocated from the state budget.
It was obtained from the fish breeders of Arevadzuk and Angeghakot fish-breeding factories in accordance with the Government procurement procedures.
As the Nature Protection Minister stated, the state projects of replenishing Lake Sevan’s fish resources with local fish species will continue in the upcoming years as well.
According to the new policy, the young fishes will not be transported from remote provinces but will be bred on place.
On the Nature Protection Minister’s degree, The workers of Sevan National Park will take control in the territory of releasing young fishes for three days and nights.
