The executive body has made changes in the government’s structure. According to a bill approved at the government’s session, the Ministries of Emergency Situations and Territorial Administration will be merged. The Cabinet will be replenished by a new ministry – Ministry on International Economic Integration and Reforms.
The Prime Minister said the bill aims to ensure a more effective management system. The decision was considered as urgent and will be submitted for the parliament’s approval as soon as possible. The newly founded ministry will deal with issues related to Armenia’s affiliation to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and new economic agenda with the European Union (EU).
The name of the new governor of Vayots Dzor was announced at the session as well.
